The tricky part about writing a blog about having no time for your hobbies is the necessary sacrifice of what little time you have. Over the last ten days, I’ve only really had time for games that I can bail out of at a moment’s notice. Much as I’d like to be playing Wonderful 101, those missions can take as much as an hour to get through.

This has meant a lot of short World of Warcraft sessions for me. That’s fine, but somewhat unfulfilling. You never really beat Warcraft. There’s aways content you’ve never tried or a new expansion inbound. By design, you never really get the satisfaction of knocking something out of your backlog.

Grad school is eating up my Saturday yet again. I was hoping to install my new RAM today, but that will have to wait until I have about an hour free. I’ve positioned my heat sink in a way so that it also cools my RAM, but it blocks access as a result. If I have to take the heat sink off, then I must also replace the thermal paste. I might as well dust while I’m in there too.

This is not the two-minute installation I was anticipating, but I tend to have a good time when messing with my PC’s guts. It will be more fun than being on campus, at the very least.
